Sony DSC-W300 camera started to behave strangely after about half year of use. We took it to Sony official repair, but they did not find any problems with the camera after they run normal test with their tools for it. Also problem was not always appearing (the demo effect). Then Sony also told us that the warranty does NOT cover SW faults. Then it went over 1 year and warranty went over, after that it started to happen more frequently. Now it happens everytime you turn on camera and it starts to go through menus automatically in somekind of SW loop. It is almost impossible to use the camera. I have deleted all pictures, reset the factory settings etc.. but nothing helps! This is really strange, but unfortunately really bad quality for such a "supposedly" good camera. I can only recommend not to buy this one! Anyone knows how to upgrade firmware for Sony DSC-W300?
